Why you should definitely read my blog...

Every child is unique and has different strengths and weaknesses, different character traits, and preferences! Some of these differences are genetic and are passed on at birth from parents, grandparents, and previous generations; others are instilled and learned through the environment. There are various research fields dedicated to this nature-nurture debate, aiming to find out exactly "How does something develop and why does it happen this way?"
In this blog, however, we do not want to focus on the differences, but rather on the similarities and the generally beneficial aspects that apply to every child - those that are based on scientific findings.
-) How do our children become happy adults?
-) How can we best support our children?
-) How can we best support our children in their development?
-) What are the prerequisites for good development?
-) How can we help you with challenges?
These are all questions that parents ask themselves again and again!
When most people think of psychology, they think of Sigmund Freud, sitting in a big, comfortable armchair, pouring out his heart to him, and then he treats and "cures" you. Admittedly, this image of psychology isn't entirely wrong, haha... but it's not entirely accurate either! Psychology doesn't just deal with pathological disorders and the healing of illness, but also with the study of happiness, a successful life, and fundamental health-promoting aspects. Very few people know this, but it's always been the perspective I personally liked most about psychology. After all, why do I have to get sick first to be cured afterwards? Why can't someone just show me how to stay healthy and what's necessary for that?
And that's exactly what I want to share with you in my blog. Enjoy reading, Martina from LIONHERZ <3
